Alison Krauss, born in Decatur, Illinois on 23 July 1971, is a well-known and wealthy Country Singer. LeAnnekymes and she were both among the youngest Grammy Award winners. Alison Maria Krauss - born July 23rd 1971 - is an American bluegrass and country vocalist. Her career in music began as a young girl, winning local contests by when she was 10 years old and recording her first album at 14. The year 1985 saw her signing by Rounder Records. Her first solo album was released in 1987. Then, she was invited to be a part of Alison Krauss Union Station, the band she currently performs with. The first album she released as a collective with this group came out in 1989.
