Harry Edward Styles is an English singer, songwriter, and a musician. He is a member of One Direction. Parents are Des Styles and Anne Cox. His birth date was the 1st of February, 1994, in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school where along with three fellow students, he founded his own group of musicians, called White Eskimo. The group won the Battle of Bands in 2009 due to their impressive results. He has always been fascinated by music, despite his enthusiasm, he was contemplating becoming a lawyer or physiotherapist. He worked in a local bakery as a part-time job to help his family financially. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition in which he performed Stevie Wonder's track Is not She Lovely. Because of that, his band was forced to break up. Nicole Scherzinger, the jury participant of The X Factor suggested Harry Styles be part of a group called One Direction with Liam Payne Zayn Mlik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne. Simon Cowell was the sponsor of the group that formed in 2010. The band performed songs like My Life Would Suffer Without You which was written by Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the contest. This made the group one of the competitors for the prize. They were however 3rd place, behind Rebecca Ferguson and winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles, his group and Cowell didn't win the contest. Then Cowell granted Harry Styles a 2 million pound contract to sign up with Syco.
