American actor and rapper Earl Simmons, born December 18, 1970 and passed away on April 9 2021. The rapper began rapping in early 1990s , and released his debut album , It's Dark and Hell Is Hot in 1998 to both critical acclaim as well as commercial success. It sold 251,000 copies in the first week of release. The best-selling album of DMX,... and Then there Was X was released in 1999. It also contained the hit single "Party Up (Up in Here). His singles from 2003, "Where is the Hood At?" His 2003 singles, "Where the Hood at?" and "X Gon' Make It To Ya", were also commercially profitable. He was the first artist to make an album No.1 five times in one week on the Billboard 200 charts. In 2006, he appeared in the reality series DMX: Soul of a Man which was aired by the BET cable television network Never Die Alone. After having served time for the theft of dogs, he decided to write lyrics of his own. He also played at the local recreation centre for children younger than 14 years old. While in prison for carjacking, he began dedicating a large portion of his time creating lyrics. He also met and rapped with K-Solo. He was released in the summer of 1988 and began to release and market mixtapes of his own. In these mixes, his raps were a re-mix of songs by other artists and sold them on street corners. This helped him build a local fanbase all across New York. Percee P as well as DMX appeared on The Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Show 1991, during which they freestyled.
